Coronavirus update for our customers

As the world grapples with the uncertainty of the COVID-19 virus outbreak, now more than ever the sleep health of the Australian public is Forty Winks’ number one priority.
Our stores are open across Australia and our foremost concern is ensuring all Australians can be better informed about their sleep practices in a healthy and safe environment.
We are serious about sleep and the life changing benefits it has on our lives.
Research shows a good night’s sleep boosts your immune system and reduces your chance of contracting a virus (any virus).
To provide peace of mind and ensure the health and safety of all customers visiting a Forty Winks store, we have implemented a number of additional precautions:
In-store preventive measures
Pillow and Mattress Health
- All surfaces in stores are being regularly cleaned each day with an antibacterial solution
- All pillows have been removed from the top of display beds (more information regarding our pillow health action plan can be found below)
- All mattresses are being treated with a fabric sanitiser spray before and after customer contact
- Hand sanitiser and or hand washing services are available in all stores
- Staff are to follow regular hand washing and sanitisation guidelines, including sanitising before and after interacting with each customer
- All staff are to follow a strict no touching policy for all customers
- Stores are supporting staff to manage their own health and encouraging any staff members to stay at home should they feel unwell for any reason
Across our stores, all
pillows have been removed from display beds effective immediately.
As pillows are an important part of the sleep heath journey, they will still be available, but will only be provided to customers with an ‘individual’ cover.
Disposable woven fabric overlays are currently on route to every store, but in the meantime each customer will be provided a brand new or hygienically cleaned pillow case at the start of their BedMatch journey. Mattresses are also sanitised before and after customer contact.
From Thursday 19 March we will be implementing a contactless delivery policy
for the foreseeable future.
What the contactless delivery policy means for our customers:
- Drivers will still alert customers by ringing ahead to provide an accurate time of arrival and will be required to confirm the customer’s name and address
- Drivers will no longer be required to obtain a customer signature as proof of delivery. Alternatively, they will be asked to provide a photo of the item/s as proof of delivery
- Drivers will be required to wear disposable gloves which need to be changed following every delivery
- Drivers will be permitted to wear face masks at their own discretion, although this is not mandatory. We will alert customers to this when re-confirming their booking to ensure they are not panicked if a driver attends their property wearing one
- All drivers will be required to thoroughly wash and sanitise their hands in between all deliveries
As a network we appreciate that many customers may not have the means to move mattresses and furniture through their home, however, this is a decision that must be adhered to for the health and safety of every Forty Winks customer and employee.
For deliveries already booked, customers will need to ensure they have adequate support to bring their delivery inside their home.
Mattress Collection Information
For health and sanitisation reasons all mattress collection services will now be cancelled.
If customers have an existing booking for a mattress collection a refund will be provided from their store of purchase for any pre-paid collection bookings.

Product Safety Recall - Saturn Bunk Bed PRA No. 2019/17453
Wednesday 10th April, 2019
Defect: This recall relates to the remediation offered to consumers as a result of previous recall PRA2015/14628. The plastic infill panel which was installed on the holes in the guardrail may become detached from the upper bunk.
Hazard: If the fitted panel becomes detached, the holes in the guard rail may pose an entrapment hazard to children.
What to do: All known consumers will be contacted by Forty Winks to discuss their options for remediation.

Please note: If the bed was sold before March 2015, the previous recall PRA2015/14628 is still binding and a panel should be installed on the holes in the guard rail to ensure that there is no entrapment hazard.
If a panel has already been installed as a result of the previous recall, consumers will now need to ensure that this is correctly affixed by contacting Forty Winks. If a panel has not been installed as a result of the previous recall, consumers should contact Forty Winks immediately to arrange repairs.

Forty Winks & Qantas Frequent Flyer Cosy Up

Forty Winks and Qantas Frequent Flyer have partnered to give members the opportunity to earn and use Qantas Points* when shopping at Forty Winks.
From today, Qantas Frequent Flyer members will earn one Qantas Point for every dollar they spend across the entire Forty Winks range.
With an average mattress costing $1,500, a member could earn 1,500 points and potentially more with additional bonus Qantas Points during Forty Winks promotional offers.
They can also make purchases more affordable by using 4,000 Qantas Points for every $20 off their total spend.
This is the first time Qantas Frequent Flyers can earn and use points with a bedding retail specialist. Forty Winks is also one of only a few program partners offering members the ability to use their Qantas Points in store to reduce the purchase price of goods while earning points on the full retail value.
