A group of experienced bedding retailers open a handful of Victorian stores as a member co-operative.

Franchisee-owned
Forty Winks Franchisees become shareholders of the business. Every store family-owned and operated.
- 2000s
30 years, every state and territory. The network passes 90 stores nationwide, from Busselton to Mackay.
As the range widened from mattresses to bases, bedheads and bedroom furniture, shared buying power meant local stores could stock the brands Australians were asking for.
