Sizing a bedside table to your bed and room

As a guide, the top of the bedside table should sit roughly level with, or a little below, the top of your mattress, so you can reach a glass of water or your phone without stretching. Measure the height of your mattress and base together before you choose, especially if you have a pillow-top mattress or a tall bed frame.
